The Seadoo GSX Limited 951cc has been on my bucket list of classic jetskis to find, since the very beginning. I have seen so many come up over the years, but always falling short of the checklist of things I look for, one being super low hours.
My first ever ride on a Seadoo GSX Limited 951...Guys this video is a big one!...I have been dying to ride a carburettor version of the 951 Rotax Seadoo engine. I fell in love with the 951cc with my XP 2003 Direct Injection, so was always curious how the original carb version of 951 engine would stack up. Plus literally everyone I have ever spoken to has said, I’ve got to get a GSX as its one of the best handling skis of the late 90s, with it being the best model for the 951. I have had a GSX on my bucket list for a long time, so when I got my hands on one, a 34 hour pristine one, I was pumped and excited to get it out on the water.
The GSX Ltd! For me the GSX is one of, if not (aside from my beloved XPDI) the most beautiful Seadoo, Seadoo ever made. The red and black for me is simply perfection. The logic behind this find is, I wanted to get the Ltd as wanted a 951 in the carburettor version, to compare to my XPDI. I also always wanted a GSX model badge in my line up... Obviously it had to be the 1999 in red... It also helps this ski has only 37 original hours on it!
I always loved the prestige around Seadoo badge certain models with the 'Ltd' tag, so always wanted to find a clean ltd model.
With the XPDI being my favour XP colour it didn't make sense to find a yellow Ltd xp so the 1999 GSX Ltd was the perfect year colour combo!
I always wanted to feel how the GSX hull felt comparitively to the XP hulls, it definitely offers a different riding expereince, with more complience.
XP VS GSX hull is a age old debate and one I wanted to feel and expereince first hand for myself... the GSX is a blast to ride.
