About Part

OEM Yamaha Wave Blaster II Fuel Sender – Fully Working (Fits 1996–1998)

This is an OEM Yamaha Wave Blaster II fuel sender, removed from a 1996 B2. I believe it will fit all 1996–1998 Wave Blaster IIs, but please check your model’s parts diagram to confirm compatibility with your year.

The sender is fully working, with the floats moving freely and no rubber degradation from fuel exposure, which is a common issue on these units over time. The brass main shaft has been cleaned up; while it shows cosmetic wear, this does not affect its operation.

If your fuel gauge isn’t reading correctly or you’re restoring your B2 and want a working OEM sender, this is a solid, tested part that will keep your ski original while ensuring your fuel system reads accurately.

OEM Yamaha senders in working condition are getting harder to find, and this one is priced fairly to reflect its used but fully functional condition, ready to bolt straight onto your ski.

Models these will match:

  • Yamaha Wave Blaster II 1996–1998
  • Fits all B2 models, but specifically removed from a 1996.

Disclaimer

This is an OEM Yamaha part; however, it is used and will show signs of use and wear. The part has been tested and is working, but as it’s a 30-year-old sender, there is no guarantee of future longevity. The most common issue with these is the black rubber floats degrading when modern fuel is left in the tank for months, causing the floats to seize. This sender has freely moving floats with no rubber degradation, and the brass shaft, while showing cosmetic wear, does not affect operation. Whilst this is a OEM part, it does not have the orginal packaging, so will be packaged in bubble wrap.
